Lyndsey Beidle Meninger is the Vice President of Legal Services in Maryland at Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance Company, which provides workers’ compensation coverage to more Maryland businesses than any other workers’ compensation insurance carrier. Additionally, Lyndsey serves as the Mentor of the Law Committee for the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds and is on the Board of the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Educational Association.
Peter Strauss is a workers’ compensation professional with over 35 years’ experience. He is currently the Executive Director for the Montana Self Insurers’ Association. Previously, he was an Operations Vice President for the Montana State Fund. Peter has taught workers compensation, written on and advocated for positive workers’ compensation changes throughout his career and is a regular speaker for AICP on the topic of workers’ compensation.
Rona S. Finkelstein, Esquire, is Chief Compliance Officer for Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance Company. In this role, she oversees the company’s corporate regulatory compliance program. Since joining the company in 1988, Ms. Finkelstein has held various management positions, including Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Legal Services. Prior to working there, she spent five years in private practice where she specialized in litigation.
Ms. Finkelstein graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, cum laude, in 1983 and was admitted to the Maryland Bar that same year. While at the University of Baltimore, she received the American Jurisprudence award for civil litigation and was a member of the law school’s National Moot Court Team.
Ms. Finkelstein has made presentations on compliance topics at the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Fund’s (AASCIF) Law Workshop. Additionally, she has presented on workers’ compensation topics on behalf of IWIF, The Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, Inc., and the Safety Council of Maryland.
Ms. Finkelstein has been a member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) since 2009. She has served previously as Vice-President, President, Past President, and Regional Director of AICP’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Additionally, Ms. Finkelstein serves on the board of directors for Kids’ Chance of Maryland, Inc. and Kids’ Chance of America.
