Looking for someone to help guide you through that next career step? Or maybe you are looking for ways to share your experience with someone new to the industry? Well look no further – AICP is launching a pilot Mentorship program, set to begin in 2024! This program resulted from collaboration between Student Engagement, DE&I and Membership, and has multiple intended benefits. The purpose of the program is to match up experienced insurance professionals with less experienced AICP members to help share relevant industry knowledge, as well as provide those less experienced members with an AICP contact to whom they can reach out.

Whether you are a seasoned industry veteran or just starting out, having a mentor can be incredibly valuable. Mentors provide guidance, support, and a wealth of knowledge that can help you navigate your career path with confidence. They can offer insights into the industry, share practical tips and strategies, and provide feedback on your progress. For those looking to share their expertise, becoming a mentor is an opportunity to give back and make a meaningful impact on someone’s professional journey. By sharing your experiences, skills, and wisdom, you can help shape the next generation of talent in the industry.

Those who express interest in the program will be contacted at a later date, and will be asked to fill out a simple questionnaire for the Mentorship subcommittee to best match up individuals based on professional interests or lines of insurance. Though some details are still being finalized, we expect Mentors and Mentees to meet monthly, and will periodically meet with the larger group to discuss the program and any improvement considerations. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals who are eager to learn from each other. If you are interested in being either a Mentor or Mentee, please reach out to Ilana Kauffman, Constance Jackson, or Cole Finchen. More information will also be shared at the annual conference, so stay tuned!
