The month of January is synonymous with resolutions and new beginnings for many people and organizations. AICP is no different. We head into January every year working through our operational budget, membership renewals and our first meeting of the year with our Board of Directors. It is a really busy and exciting time to be part of our leadership team!
Our January board meeting is a big one. While mostly focused on approving our annual operating budget, this year we will be tackling some other big topics as well. We are taking a look at our administrative roles, organizational structure, marketing and social media efforts, educational courses and designation offerings and planning for a redesigned website. It is a lot to take in and this year’s board of directors has a lot of work ahead of it.
With all of the things we are taking a look at, we want to give our members every opportunity to be a part of it. I’m excited to be working on a series of “town hall” webinars. Being that we are an organization with our members spread out across the entire country, we want to offer a virtual opportunity for you to hear about some of the things we are talking about and provide a platform for feedback. Be on the lookout for your first opportunity sometime in February.
2020 is looking to be an amazing year full of resolutions and new beginnings. I’m looking forward to seeing as many of you as I can and hearing from even more of you.
