Fall is such an exciting time of year. The coffee shops are bringing back Pumpkin Spice Lattes, the weather is changing, the leaves are changing, and AICP is making some major changes also! AICP has always been the premiere organization for compliance professionals that brings together a network of experts that have a true passion for compliance, but we’re working to expand that network and provide our members even greater experiences. How are we doing that? Let’s explore!

2024 and 2025 are the years of change for AICP with exciting things to come. We’re in the process of undertaking a restructure that will allow AICP members to great opportunities contribute to the organization nationwide. Through the restructure, we’re helping our members focus on a national platform that will allow everyone to experience the great things that AICP has going on, even if it is outside of your region. We’re working hard to develop virtual and in-person educational and networking opportunities for all our members across the country. Additionally, we want to expand opportunities for events such as E-days to be available to all members of AICP, no matter where in the country they live.

Why the change?

Every organization comes to a crossroads with their strategic vision. After years of discussion, planning and meetings, AICP leaders determined that this was a great time to explore restructuring the organization to be more focused on national growth to allow greater opportunities for our membership, and growth for our organization. Why? Covid was a great starting point for this discussion and determination. Because of Covid, we are allowed to be a bit more nomadic in our jobs. We are not necessarily required to be in an office, or live where we work. We can work for a company in New York but live in a cornfield in Nebraska. We can also work from the beach on any given day, even if it isn’t even close to our office. Through the restructuring, we wanted to bring AICP opportunities to you, wherever you are, and wherever you choose to work. We want to break down barriers and allow you to interact more with compliance professionals from across the country, not just from your designated area, and the
restructuring provided that opportunity.

How can you be part of the change?

As a volunteer led organization, AICP needs you to make sure that these educational programs come to life. You know the content you want to see, the educational opportunities you need to succeed, and the networking style that is most helpful for you. By volunteering, you can ensure your voice is heard and help shape our future. Volunteering does not have to be a huge time commitment – we have opportunities for all. If you want to join us and make the most of your membership, you can reach out to me or anyone else on the Board, and we will help you get started.

We know change can be unsettling and we appreciate your ongoing support through the restructuring process. There really truly are great things to come for our members and our organization, and we cannot wait to unveil the future of AICP!
