An announcement was made a few months back on this year’s annual conference selected charity. As a refresher, this year’s charity is 2HEARTS, https://www.2-hearts.org, which is a non-profit organization that helps educate and offers social activities to teens diagnosed with congenital heart disease while supporting their journey from childhood to adulthood.
Now, here is where you, the members of AICP can help this awesome charity continue to educate and make those teens with congenital heart disease feel loved and appreciated. The Silent Auction Committee members are working on putting the final touches on a few options available to you, the members of AICP, to help 2HEARTS.
You can help financially by donating an item to this year’s Silent Auction. The donation form and other pertinent information will be available soon on the conference app. Of course, those items donated will need a home; therefore, those attending conference please don’t hesitate to bid on an item or more. Again, a conference pin will be available to purchase. Word has it this year’s pin design is spectacular and truly reminiscent of Denver.
You wouldn’t think 2HEARTS is an organization where you can give of your time, but it is. 2HEARTS holds an annual golf outing fundraiser. Well, this year’s golf outing is scheduled for the Monday of our conference. What great timing! As with any big event, there is a lot of behind the scenes prep work needed. This is where you the members can help. On Sunday morning before conference begins, from 9 a.m. to about 12:30 p.m. we will be assisting 2HEARTS with some of those last-minute details. Stay tuned to the conference app for more information on this opportunity to assist 2HEARTS.
Given 2HEARTS educates those with a terminal heart disease, what better way to exercise our heart and keep it in tip top shape than a STEP CHALLENGE. We all take many steps during the conference so why not track them for a worthy cause. Please watch the conference app for details on how you can participate.
