Michael is a seasoned insurance professional with 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, 27 in a regulatory compliance and state filing role. Currently he is the Unit Manager of the Regulatory Oversight & Compliance area for Dearborn National Life Insurance Company and oversees product filings for all product lines; state statutory reporting; legislation monitoring and reporting; legislation research; TPA licensing; Department of Insurance complaints; and consumer complaints, appeals and grievances for the Dearborn enterprise.
A member of the Dearborn National family since 2006, Michael started as a product filing analyst. He has served in his current role since 2014. Previously, he worked at Protective Life Insurance (formerly Zurich Life Insurance Company of America), First Penn-Pacific Life Insurance Company and Federal Kemper Life Insurance Company all within compliance related roles.
Michael has earned the compliance designations of FLMI, AIRC, ARA, AAPA, AIAA, PCS, and CCP. He is a member of the Life and Health Compliance Association (LHCA) and has been a member of the AICP since 2006. His involvement in the AICP is listed below.
