On April 25, over thirty New England Chapter members made their way to Hartford where they were introduced to new Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Andrew Mais and Deputy Joshua Hershman at a Meet and Greet with the Connecticut Insurance Department.
Commissioner Mais responded to several questions during his time with the chapter. The group then broke out into separate sessions by function. Life and Health was hosted by Director Paul Lombardo and staff and Property Casualty by Director George Bradner and his staff.
Upon reconvening the whole group, the meeting ended with updates from Market Conduct Division Director Kurt Swan and Consumer Services Director Gerard O’Sullivan.
Because of the overwhelming success with the first-ever Meet and Greet, the New England Chapter has already been in contact with the Massachusetts Division of Insurance regarding a similar event this fall. All are invited- stay tuned for additional details.
