AICP 2024 Restructure

Thank you to everyone who joined our Town Halls last week. We had great participation, and we appreciate all of the feedback. As discussed in the Town Hall meetings, the AICP has been facing a number of challenges for several years. We know that change is needed to ensure that our members continue to get great value from the association and to help facilitate growth by appealing to new members. The task force has worked hard to come up with a solution that the Board agrees will accomplish these goals. These challenges, and our solution, are outlined in our slides available here [LINK]. Through this restructuring, we anticipate creating more ways for members to engage at national and regional levels in educational, networking, and volunteer opportunities. Please take a moment to review the slides and feel free to reach out to me or any of the task force members with any questions or comments. Our email addresses are on the last slide in the deck.

This link will take you to a downloadble pdf of the Town Hall slides

Artificial Intelligence Governance and Discrimination Testing: Perspectives From a Lawyer and Data Scientist

Whether it’s the regulations from the Colorado Division of Insurance concerning the use of external consumer data and information sources (ECDIS), the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ model AI governance bulletin, or the circular letter recently proposed by the New York State Department of Financial Services on the use of AI and ECDIS, insurers face a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape when it comes to harnessing the power of AI and testing it for potential unfair discrimination. Please join the
Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) for a discussion with Lionel Weaver, an attorney from Faegre Drinker, and Kenny Darrell, chief data scientist from Tritura, as we explore these emerging regulatory requirements and the complexities of testing the ECDIS and AI technologies used by insurers. This is a webinar you won’t want to miss!
