CODE OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Below is the AICP Code of Professional Conduct.

The Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals’ mission is to serve the insurance compliance community by promoting relationships, exchanging information, and providing learning opportunities within a dynamic regulatory environment. To do that effectively, all members should maintain the highest ethical standards and assume a personal obligation to make their professional dealings positively reflect on the AICP, the employers we work for, the industry we work in and the consumers we serve. This Code of Professional Conduct applies to all members.
AICP Members are expected to:
-
Be knowledgeable about insurance laws and regulations and share that knowledge with others
-
Demonstrate excellence in discharging their professional responsibilities
-
Comply with the letter and spirit of laws governing the regulation of insurance and encourage others to do so as well
-
Abstain from professional decisions in which there is, or may appear to be, a conflict of interest
-
Strive to improve the regulatory compliance system
-
Act in a manner that will promote respect for the insurance industry and regulatory compliance professionals within the industry. Doing so will evidence high standards of professional competence for the benefit of the employers we represent, the entities that regulate our industry and the customers we serve.
COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY
Like you, the leadership of AICP has watched intently as our nation and the world have engaged in deep introspection and discussion related to racial division and inequality across our society. As an organization, we are committed to fostering diversity within our membership and our leadership to include race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio economics, and culture. We further are committed to examining all of our programs and services, communications, and related processes not just to remove any real or subconscious bias that might be present, but also to be deliberate in incorporating relevant perspectives on diversity from the outset.
We are committed to doing what we can as an organization to cast a bright light on diversity and discrimination within our industry and to encourage our members, their employers, and our business partners to join us in this sustained effort.
Finally, we recognize that any attempt to effect meaningful change must be accompanied with a genuine willingness to accept feedback and differing perspectives. We therefore encourage you to bring us all of your ideas for ways that we can do better at incorporating and portraying the full spectrum of diversity that can and should be represented within AICP.
