Responsible for personal and commercial lines filings of the company’s rates, rules and forms with the state departments’ of insurance and rating bureaus for a specific group of states and/or assigned region(s). Offers expert guidance and technical knowledge to the Strategic Business Units (SBUs), Business Services Unit (BSU), Actuarial and regional staff. Uses strong analytical skills to influence decisions made on behalf of the company by insurance regulators. Ensures compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to form, rate and rule filings.
-Develops, prepares, submits, and monitors state filing initiatives in an accurate and timely fashion, in accordance with desk level procedures within the SharePoint framework. Makes decisions and resolves complex problems encountered in rate, rule and form filing processes.
-Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key personnel in SBU’s and the BSU to ensure Regulatory Compliance is pro-actively involved and included in programs and projects that may affect the company’s compliance.
-Conduct research and analyze information relative to the development of new products and programs and the impact on state filing requirements through the use of tools such as ISONet and SERFF. Ensure timely and effective communication of finding to all key stakeholders.
-Develop and present training materials for internal customers on related Compliance Operations subjects and/or processes.
-Analyze regulatory alerts in the CODE system in accordance with the CODE process manual to determine the business impact of alerts on our business.
-Effectively communicate potential impacts on appropriate stakeholders.
-Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key personnel in assigned region(s), ensuring strong partnerships that ensure a focus on compliance and timely responses to any needed changes and/or fixes. Partner with internal customers on complex regulatory alerts to help facilitate changes and ensure compliance.
-Build relationships with state analysts from the department of insurance in assigned areas. Participate on insurance committees, industry and trade associations and bureaus to develop industry relationships and stay current with emerging issues.
-Ensure all filings, both SERFF and drawer, are converted to PDF format and posted to the State Filings Intranet SharePoint site in a timely, accurate and fully searchable context.
-Performs other related complex analysis and tasks as needed to support the team and/or requested by management.-

-Advanced PC skills in MS Office (word, excel, power point), Adobe PDF, Internet / Intranet search skills.
-Exceptional analytical skills coupled with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
-Strong organizational skills and experience with report generation tools and data analysis.
-General knowledge of insurance industry strongly preferred.
-Ability to effectively manage multiple, complex assignments.
-College degree preferred (or commensurate industry experience).
-5+ years of related work experience in similar compliance and/or the insurance industry preferred.
