Compliance Analyst
Description
The American Road Insurance Company (TARIC), a subsidiary of Ford Credit, is expanding its commercial auto insurance product offering and is seeking experienced staff to lead the effort. The goal is to bring insurance to commercial customers as part of the one-stop experience for Ford Pro customers and create excitement about a new option for competitive commercial vehicle insurance across all brands.
What you’ll be able to do:
Prepare and file commercial automobile insurance rate and form filings via the State Electronic Rates and Forms Filing (SERFF) System, renew service contract related licenses and ensure compliance with legal and emerging regulatory requirements
Research state filing requirements for each line of insurance, service contracts, third party obligors
Maintain documents and matrices in support of state insurance filings, including administration of insurance policies and surety bonds
Continually monitor state insurance department sites and notifications for new product updates, procedure changes, filing modifications and rate adjustments
Complete various state insurance filings, ensuring compliance with state requirements
Prepare and file accurate and timely documents to state insurance regulators and respond to bulletins and compliance requests, as required, while serving as the liaison between insurance regulators to respond to any inquiries and resolve any issues
Complete other insurance operations tasks and training as required
Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (onsite in Dearborn and work remotely)
The minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years of SERFF commercial automobile insurance rate and form filing experience
2+ years of experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SharePoint
QUALIFICATIONS
Our preferred requirements:
Paralegal or accounting experience
Insurance company licensing
Insurance agency compliance experience
Knowledge of P&C industry corporate governance and compliance regulations (certification/licensing a plus)
Detail oriented with effective organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
Acute attention to detail and deadline driven
Self-motivated and strong drive for results
Experience working with insurance regulations, legislation or compliance
Strict adherence to confidentiality while working with sensitive personal information
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a timely manner and prioritize workload
Ability to identify and implement process improvements
Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
