Project Analyst
Description
The American Road Insurance Company (TARIC), a subsidiary of Ford Credit, is expanding its commercial auto insurance product offering and is seeking experienced staff to lead the effort. The goal is to bring insurance to commercial customers as part of the one-stop experience for Ford Pro customers and create excitement about a new option for competitive commercial vehicle insurance across all brands.
Seeking external hire with commercial auto insurance experience. Skills in the following areas are of particular interest: Underwriting, marketing, sales, distribution, vendor management, billing, customer service and/or compliance.
Resume Information
The Product Analyst will report to the Commercial Auto Insurance Product Manager and support the product launch team in a variety of areas which may include underwriting, sales, marketing, compliance, reporting, competitive analysis and customer experience.
Performs data analysis supporting growth and profitability.
Performs detailed analysis of product, pricing, and growth.
Analysis includes marketplace dynamics, competitive analysis, pricing segmentation, and segment level analysis within assigned scope and support from leader.
Collaborates with business partners to understand desired business outcomes and offers product perspective and expertise.
Completes and maintains competitive and market plan analysis.
Provides recommendations using analysis and interpretation of rates, data, and trends.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Specific requirements:
Solid background in the Property & Causality insurance with a focus on commercial auto insurance.
Bachelor’s degree preferred in the area of business management, mathematics, management information, finance, actuarial science, economics or other analytics related field.
Preferred skills:
Knowledge of the US regulatory landscape including requirements for distributing insurance products and best practices for the small commercial sector.
Understanding of insurance underwriting and pricing principles.
Experience with carrier rating/policy management platforms.
Experience with risk management and marketing strategies.
