Our chapters serve a specific group of states, each is governed by an elected group of chapter officers, and is guided by a set of designated chapter operating rules.

Kristine Graf, AIRC, ACP
Kristine Graf, AIRC, ACP - Hannover Re Services USA, Inc.
Kristine Graf, AIRC, ACP is a leader with a proven track record for creating proactive, accurate and efficient compliance cultures. She has led multiple aspects of regulatory compliance operating in 50 states in both admitted and non-admitted markets. She has been successful in seamlessly integrating broad scale compliance and regulatory improvements into business operations and is an influential thought leader delivering business value through risk and compliance gap identification, mitigation, and best practice implementation. She has been an active member since 2003 with a brief hiatus for a couple of years. Kristine has been in the regulatory compliance arena for over 20 years and was recently promoted to AVP.

Michael Hollar, FLMI, HIA
Michael Hollar, FLMI, HIA - Combined Insurance Company of America
Michael has been the Product Implementation Manager since January 2020, Manager of the Policy Filings Department since April 2006, and an employee since December 2001 with Combined Insurance Company of America, A Chubb Company. Combined’s product lines consist of Supplemental Health, Medicare Supplement, and Life products. Michael is responsible with assisting the business units with development of new products, electronic application compliance, and addressing inquiries from Business Units. Michael also assist as Co-Manager with managing a staff of 12 that maintains compliance from development, filing, implementing, and monitoring statutory changes of new and existing products.
Michael began his insurance career at Trustmark Insurance Company in 1997. Prior to joining Trustmark, Michael worked for 10 years overseeing and administering a demand side management energy conversion program for a Wisconsin utility.
Michael has a Bachelor of Science Comprehensive Business Education Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Michael has also obtained his HIA, FMLI, AIRC, DHP, LTCP, and CCP insurance related designations.

Amanda Wheeler
Amanda Wheeler - Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty
Amanda Wheeler is currently a Senior Compliance Analyst of Government and Regulatory Affairs with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty. In this position, she is responsible for the compliance management for Commercial Auto, Commercial General Liability and Commercial Umbrella Excess. She received her MBA from Madonna University and a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies. She is currently is working towards her CPCU, CCP, and ACP designations and recently received her AINS designation.

Florence Marafatsos, HIA, MHP
Florence Marafatsos, HIA, MHP - Fortress Insurance Company
Florence Marafatsos has been in the Insurance Industry for the past 30 years in both Life/Health and Property/Casualty environments and has earned the professional designations of Health Insurance Associate; Managed Healthcare Professional; Professional, Academy of Healthcare Management and Associate, Life Health Claims. Her extensive industry experience includes 9 years as a Senior Adjustor in Multiple Lines, Disability, Long‐Term Care and Medicare; 5 years in Actuarial/Compliance and 16 years in Legal/Compliance. She is active in Government affairs and frequently attends the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) meetings. She serves on the Government Affairs Committee for the MPL Association and the National Risk Retention Association. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education.

Michael Hartman, FLMI, AIRC
Michael Hartman, FLMI, AIRC - Dearborn National Life Insurance Company
Michael is a seasoned insurance professional with 32 years of experience in the insurance industry, 29 in a regulatory compliance and state filing role. Currently he is the Manager of the Regulatory Oversight & Compliance area for Dearborn Life Insurance Company and oversees product filings for all product lines; state statutory reporting; legislation monitoring and reporting; legislation research; TPA licensing; Department of Insurance and consumer complaints and grievances for the Dearborn enterprise; and works with the Privacy Officer with privacy breaches.
A member of the Dearborn Group family since 2006, Michael started as a product filing analyst. He has served in his current role since 2014. Previously, he worked at Protective Life Insurance (formerly Zurich Life Insurance Company of America), First Penn-Pacific Life Insurance Company and Federal Kemper Life Insurance Company all within compliance related roles.
Michael has earned the compliance designations of FLMI, AIRC, ARA, AAPA, AIAA, PCS, and CCP. He is a member of the Life and Health Compliance Association (LHCA) and has been a member of the AICP since 2006. His involvement in the AICP is listed below.

Brad Whatley
Brad Whatley - The Jacobson Group
Brad Whatley is a Managing Director for The Jacobson Group’s executive search team. In this role, he manages C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches for clients in the life insurance industry. As a member of Jacobson’s Executive Management Team, Brad also plays a significant role in the continued development and growth of the insurance search and staffing firm.
Brad brings nearly 20 years of experience and insider knowledge to his life clients’ leadership engagements across all functions. Prior to joining Jacobson’s executive search practice, Brad led the firm’s subject matter expert’s team, where he partnered with life and annuity organizations to address their unforeseen and business critical situations through the acquisition of consultant-level talent. Brad’s insurance experience transcends Jacobson, having started his career with tenures at Aon Corporation and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company.
Brad believes in giving back to the community he works within. As such, he has been involved in several organizations throughout the years, such as the American Council of Life Insurers, the Association of Home Office Underwriters, the Life Office Management Association, and the Society of Actuaries. Brad also recently served as the immediate past President of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professional’s Great Lakes Chapter. Brad is often called upon to share his perspective on the insurance talent marketplace through speaking engagements and industry publications. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Northern Michigan University of Marquette, Michigan.

Ryan Blakeney
Ryan Blakeney - Mississippi Insurance Department
Ryan is the current Deputy Director of Consumer Services for the Mississippi Insurance Department. He served previously as the Life and Health Specialist for the Consumer Services Division. In addition, he served in the MID’s Life and Health Actuarial Division and has developed an extensive working knowledge of laws, regulations, and department policies related to life, health, annuities, and rate filings. As our nation’s health care system experiences the most significant changes in decades, Ryan plays a key role in interpreting and implementing all market reforms associated with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. He serves MID directors, private industry professionals, and public consumers in understanding complex insurance issues and resolving conflicts regarding life/health, property and casualty topics.
Ryan’s experience in state government began as a Benefit Analyst for PERS, the Public Employees’ Retirement System of Mississippi, where he advised members on disability benefits, survivor payments, and retirement finances. His attention to numerical details combined with daily personal counseling provides an ideal foundation as he now liaisons among agency divisions to serve the citizens of Mississippi. Appointed by Commissioner Mike Chaney, Ryan also represented MID on the Mississippi Autism Advisory Committee. Currently, he serves on Mississippi’s Early Intervention-Childhood Development Board; as President of the Gulf-States Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals; and as President of the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s Alumni Affairs Board.
A devoted Rebel fan, Ryan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi followed by a Master of Health Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. His wife, Amy, also serves our state as a public educator in Brandon, and they are the parents of one daughter, Avery.

Jeny Pighetti
Jeny Pighetti - Cypress Property & Casualty Insurance Company
Jeny has been in the insurance industry since 2004 with a focus in the Gulf states Property and Casualty market. With a background in product and compliance, she is currently the Senior Forms and Compliance Manager at Cypress Property & Casualty. Jeny has been active in the AICP member since joining in 2016. She has served on the Learning and Development Committee, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and written for the AICP Journal.
A graduate of the University of Central Florida (but a Gator at heart), Jeny resides in the Sunshine State where she spends her free time chauffeuring her 4 children to and from activities, chasing the family’s many animals, reading, crocheting and gardening.

Alex Crawshaw is an underwriter for Madison Consulting Group, with a focus on Workers Compensation and Commercial Auto, as well as a filings and compliance consultant for all Property & Casualty lines. He has been with the company since 2010, and a member of AICP since 2011.

Brian Williams - RSUI Group, Inc.
Brian Williams is a Product Development Consultant at RSUI Group. He has twenty years of insurance experience in Commercial Property and Casualty and has been working in compliance and product development since 2017, principally in the GL and Excess Casualty lines. Brian holds several industry designations, including the CPCU and ACP. A member of the AICP since 2017, this will be Brian’s first year as an officer for the Gulf States Chapter.

Lori Straight, Assistant Vice President – Compliance Investigations has 22 years of experience in the life, health and annuity insurance industry. Ms. Straight has experience with underwriting, complaint handling, market conduct exams, product filing, advertising review, legislative research and overall insurance compliance knowledge. Ms. Straight has over 16 year of experience in investigating various insurance fraud schemes involving providers, insureds and agents, internal employee fraud, and was the AML Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer at her prior organization. Brandy Hoffman - CUNA Mutual Group
Brandy Hoffman is a Compliance Analyst for CUNA Mutual Group with nearly 10 years in the life, health and annuity industry. With a background in sales and marketing, she brings a unique perspective to compliance. Brandy has helped in the development of framework for compliance programs while helping support new products and sales channels. She has experience in advertising review, rate and form filing as well as creating process efficiencies, standardized reporting, and strategic consulting. Brandy is passionate about personal growth and professional development and serves on the leadership team for her organizations Young Professional Society.
Brandy obtained her Masters in Business Administration from Mount Mercy University and graduated Cum Laude from St. Ambrose University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management including two minors: Pre-Law and Philosophy. She is currently working to obtain her AIRC- Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance designation. Brandy lives in Nashua, Iowa with her husband and 3 kids.

Sandra Olson, CPCU, MCM - Travelers
Sandra J Olson (Sandy) is a Regulatory Manager for Bond & Specialty Insurance Regulatory Affairs Group at Travelers. She started her career at Travelers in 1994 which at that time was the St. Paul Companies.
Sandy joined the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) on March 14, 2001. She has enjoyed volunteering on numerous national and chapter committees. This has allowed Sandy the opportunity to get to know and collaborate with numerous individuals who enjoy spending
volunteer time working with the AICP.
Beginning in 2015 Sandy served the Heartland Chapter for three years as Vice President,
President and Past President. Sandy currently serves as the Heartland Chapter Secretary.

Treasurer
Maryana Grodnova-Ware
Maryana Grodnova-Ware - Nebraska Department of Insurance
Maryana Grodnova-Ware, Actuarial Assistant for the Nebraska Department of Insurance. She accepted her current position in April, 2016. She has been a Life and Health Analyst with the NE DOI since January, 2009. She became a member of AICP in 2009 and at the same time joined several AICP national committees. Since 2012 she represents the Nebraska State as a regulator-speaker at the AICP annual conferences. Currently, she serves as the Heartland Chapter Treasurer.

Shawna Pope
Shawna Pope - Farm Bureau Financial Services
Shawna has been with Farm Bureau Financial Services for 31 years and is currently Director – Insurance Compliance. Her team specializes in corporate and product compliance, including life and annuity product filings, variable product compliance, market conduct oversight, legislative and regulatory monitoring and the company’s anti-money laundering program. She also leads an inter-departmental team focused on positive engagement in corporate compliance and ethics.
Shawna is a long-time member of the AICP, having served in a variety of roles at the national level (including Regional Director (2007-2009) and National Secretary (2009-2011). Prior to that, she served on the Heartland Chapter Board, including Chapter President, Vice President, Immediate Past President and Chapter Secretary. She values life-long learning, including industry education and earned the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter; Fellow, Life Management Institute and Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance.
Shawna is a graduate of Upper Iowa University. A lifelong resident of Iowa, she lives with her husband, Joseph, and beagle, Dexter, in Urbandale, Iowa. They are empty-nesters who are extremely proud of their three grown children: Rhonda (husband, Don), Aaron (wife, Zoe) and Rebecca (dog, Remy).

Danette Kobolt
Danette Kobolt - Nationwide Insurance Company
Danette Kobolt has been with Nationwide for almost seven years, five years as a Compliance Supervisor with Loss Control Services and the previous two years in Claims Subrogation. As a Compliance Supervisor, she is responsible for managing state audits and the mandatory reporting of loss control services as required by state laws. Additional job duties include coordination with our Asst General Counsel counter-parts on review and approval of LCS tech bulletins and job aides, training for field associates, etc. Prior to Nationwide, Danette was a Compliance & Regulatory Attorney/Health Care Reform Public Information Officer with the Iowa Insurance Division (DOI) for about 1.5 years. Job Duties included representing a regulating agency in the roll-out of the ACA and the Iowa Federally Facilitated Marketplace, managing two of the division’s largest projects both monetarily and consumers reached, preparing proposals for amendments to statutory amendments to provisions, rules, guidelines, or procedures to provide more effective compliance, outreach and education. Danette has also been employed by the Department of Homeland Security/FEMA for about 4 years as a Director in Hazard Mitigation Grants/Planning. Job duties included overseeing a team of grants specialists/planners, engineers and benefit cost analysis specialists, managing a department fund of over $400 million ensuring compliance and quality assurance/control, assisting in reviewing and providing technical assistance to all 99 counties in Iowa needing grants/plans, working closely with the National Flood Insurance Program.
Danette is a licensed attorney in the State of Iowa, graduating from law school at Western Michigan University/Thomas M Cooley Law School. She also holds a BS in Accounting in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of Northern Iowa. Danette recently obtained an MBA in Data Analytics (Business Analytics) and Accounting from Drake University. Danette has been with AICP for over three years serving as VP and then as President for the following two years.

Michael Hunterton supervises the State Filings Team at Selective Insurance Company of America, a Property & Casualty Insurance Company based in Branchville, NJ. Michael works with various business units in developing and regulatory approval of rates, rules, and forms across Commercial and Personal Lines of Business. Michael earned a Juris Doctorate from the Catholic University of America and an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government) from American University, both in Washington, DC. Before joining Selective in 2013, Michael was General Manager of a national court reporting and litigation support company based in Washington, DC.

Dana Fyffe, JD
Dana Fyffe, JD - Berkley One
Dana Fyffe currently serves on the Membership Committee for the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP). Dana has insurance industry experience in several areas including regulatory relations, multi-state filings, regulatory change and compliance related research projects. Prior to serving in her current role as Senior Compliance Specialist for Berkley One, she previously worked as a Senior Compliance Consultant for Coulter and Associates. Dana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a J.D. from Widener University School of Law. Following law school, Dana passed the bar exam in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is currently pursuing a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Ilana Kauffman
Ilana Kauffman - Wysh Life and Health Insurance Company
Ilana Kauffman is an experienced Insurance Compliance Professional with a background in both the P&C and LAH arena, working to build compliance programs, manage corporate governance, develop products and expand the business into new territories. Ilana is currently the Director of Compliance for Wysh Life and Health Insurance Company, an Insurtech specializing in term life insurance.
Since joining the AICP, Ilana has volunteered for the Brand & Marketing Committee and is currently an active member of the Student Engagement Committee and Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.

Jean has been a member of AICP and the MidAtlantic Chapter since 2008. She has served in multiple roles as a Chapter Board Officer including treasurer, secretary, Vice President and 2 years as President. She currently serves as Past President and Regional Director.
Jean’s career in the insurance industry has spanned over a 33 years. She has worked at two start up companies building national portfolios of group life, health and disability health products from the ground up. Both were sold to fortune 500 companies, one for $8 billion and one for $200 million. Jean has a strong network or regulator contacts and industry professionals and believes AICP has helped to expand her network and industry knowledge.
Jean has worked at multiple insurance companies including U.S. Healthcare, Aetna, and Zurich as a Life and Health Compliance Director specializing in the regulatory development of employee benefit plans. She has held multiple compliance roles such as product development, company licensing, advertising compliance, policy development, and product and rate filings. Kate Stecklein works as Assistant General Counsel at CNO Financial Group and holds a law license in both Michigan and Indiana. Prior to working at CNO, Kate worked as Senior Legal, Regulatory, and Public Policy Counsel at Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company, and also previously served as the sole Compliance Staff Attorney for Michigan Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan. She is experienced in handling compliance and regulatory matters across all lines of insurance. She was elected Vice President of the Association of Insurance and Compliance Professionals (AICP) Midwest Chapter in 2018 and currently serves as President of the Midwest Chapter. She has also held various leadership positions and chaired several insurance trade group committees throughout the country, navigating through areas of significant regulatory change impacting the insurance industry as a whole. Kate has also worked in private practice handling a wide variety of litigation, transactional, and regulatory matters for firm clients. She was named an Up & Coming Lawyer in Michigan by Michigan Lawyer’s Weekly in 2012, and currently holds the AINS and AIC insurance designations and is also a licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent in Indiana.

Jeremy Stecklein
Jeremy Stecklein comes to his role as Vice President of the Midwest Chapter of the Association of Insurance Compliance professionals with over sixteen years of sales and management experience working for large companies such as Hibu, Amazon, Elmco Engineering, LaCrosse Footwear, and Maxiforce. Jeremy is actively pursuing agent licensure in both P&C and Life and Health and is working towards opening his own insurance agency. He is passionate about insurance and is excited to shift his career focus to a new industry – offering a fresh perspective on insurance compliance matters to AICP as a whole. Originally from Iowa, Jeremy is a true Hawkeye and loves to play and watch all types of sports. He plays in a Men’s Basketball League twice a week, is an avid golfer, and played competitive baseball in college – even playing a few games on the famous baseball field from the movie “Field of Dreams” which was filmed at his high school!

Over the last 24 years, I have been able to master State Filing requirements and workflow for Property & Casualty, partner with the Legal Department and manage the Property & Casualty Market Conduct Exams, maintain and assisted with development of several products, served as member of the SERFF Product Steering Committee, created and administered a Company-wide Portal and is always looking for more opportunities to develop and grow.

Carmen Brown - Jackson National Life Insurance Company
Carmen Brown is an Insurance professional with over 20 years’ in the industry. Experience includes regulatory compliance, state filings, form development, product implementation, project management and advertising review. She works in the Legal Department at Jackson National Life Insurance Company where she has the privilege of overseeing a team that partners with multiple business units across the organization to develop, implement and maintain product specific documents. Carmen strives to be a strong, compassionate, and inspirational leader in thoughts, words, and actions. She values building new and maintaining existing relationships through careful, considerate, and truthful, but respectful dialog and collaboration.
Carmen obtained an Associate degree in Marketing & Management from Lansing Community College and is currently earning her Bachelor of Business Administration, Management from Northwood University.
Carmen is a longstanding member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP), has served as president and vice-president of the AICP’s Midwest chapter, and as the Committee Chair for the AICP Chapter Outreach committee.

Greg chairs the Insurance Industry Group at Frost Brown Todd, LLC, which provides a variety of insurance and hybrid insurance related legal and professional services to the industry. Greg has almost 30 years of experience handling a wide variety of insurance regulatory, product development, distribution, insolvency, formation, M&A/transactional, market conduct and administrative matters in the U.S. and abroad.
Greg’s practice includes representation of businesses in the review, evaluation and structure of sophisticated insurance and alternative risk/captive programs/RRGs; holding company system/group issues and filings, formation, licensing matters, reinsurance and service agreements, as well as representation of insureds and receivers in insolvency related proceedings, including life and health, AHPs, TPAs, MEWAs, self-insurance funds, group self-insured funds, unauthorized insurers and conversions.
Greg also handles the development of new insurance and extended warranty/service contracts and hybrid/specialty programs; regulation, licensing, and compliance of agents/producers/limited lines/brokers/surplus lines/consultants/administrators/utilization review agents and adjusters, including call center operations, insurtech and non-insurance distribution channels; formation, regulation, implementation of compliance/risk management, as well as defense of department investigations and administrative procedures, including national Market Action Working Group (MAWG) enforcement actions.
He regularly attends meetings of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, National Conference of Insurance Legislators and other various insurance and industry related organizations. Ann Casillo - Insurance Services Office, Inc.
Anne Casillo has worked in the insurance industry for over 4 decades. Initially a commercial property underwriter for Aetna C+S and Covenant Mutual, she relocated to Worcester, MA in 1985 where she spent the next twenty years at Hanover Insurance in various commercial lines roles. In 2005 she joined Insurance Services Offices, Inc. as Director of Government Relations.
She is a proud graduate of Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania and holds CPCU, ARP and CPIW designations.
Anne has been a member of AICP (former Society of State Filers) since its founding in 1986, and has volunteered to serve in many different roles over the years at the New England Chapter, the most important being instrumental in the chapter’s founding.
She is a sports enthusiast including all things New England – especially the Patriots. When not at work, you can find her golfing, snow shoeing (formerly skiing) or bowling. She and her husband Stan have two grown daughters who found their own path – both are in medicine.

Gregory Pelletier
Gregory Pelletier, CPCU - The Hanover Insurance Group
Greg Pelletier began his career in the insurance industry in 2011 with his current employer The Hanover Insurance Group. Since then he has worked in several areas of the company including Agency Services, Personal Lines Underwriting, Risk Management, and currently Compliance where he is the manager for Operations, Data Analytics, and Reporting
Greg holds a B.S. in Music Business from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an M.B.A. from Nichols College. He also holds CPCU, ARC, and CCP designations.
A lover of tennis and dogs, Greg is also a big fan of musical theater and visits New York City a couple times a year to see a Broadway show. He and his wife Kerrianne enjoy singing with their two young girls.

Corrin Gildea
Corrin Gildea - Hartford Steam Boiler
Corrin has been an insurance compliance professional for 6 years, and is currently a Rate Filing Analyst at HSB. Prior to this position, she was an Underwriting Compliance and Standards Specialist at HSB for 2 years, and a Compliance Specialist at MAPFRE Insurance for 3 years. She holds the AINS and API designations.
Corrin graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Statistics. While in college, she played clarinet in the marching band and enjoyed attending UCONN football and basketball games.
Corrin has been a member of the New England Chapter of the AICP for 5 years. She has been on the e-day planning committee, the event planning committee, and is now the NE Chapter secretary.
Outside of work, Corrin loves spending time with her husband and her baby boy. Corrin enjoys being outdoors doing yard work or going for walks, cooking, and painting.

Rachel Galasso - Markel Specialty
Rachel has been an AICP member since 2014 and has many years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry. This experience includes everything from agency relations to product regulatory compliance. She is currently a Sr. Regulatory Compliance Specialist at Markel Specialty.

Ned Gaines
Ned Gaines - Washington Office of Insurance Commissioner
Ned is the Forms Compliance Manager in the Rates, Forms & Provider Networks Division of the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC). In this role Ned oversees company form filings for all insurance lines. He directly manages the Life, Annuity, Disability & Property Casualty Forms unit and manages the Health Forms Manager who oversees the Health Forms Unit. Ned acts as the OIC’s Subject Matter Expert for Long-Term Care insurance (LTCi), representing the agency on the newly created Supplemental Private Long-Term Care Insurance Workgroup, tasked with providing recommendations for creating private LTCi policies to supplement the state run WA Cares Fund LTC program. He also represents the OIC on several NAIC workgroups and the Product Standards Committee of the Interstate Insurance Compact.
Ned began his career at the OIC in March 2013 as a Market Conduct Examiner. In February 2017, he promoted to Chief Market Analyst in the Market Conduct Oversight Unit, a position he held for 4.5 years. He promoted to his current role in July 2021. Prior to the OIC he worked in the insurance industry for 15 years in a variety of roles including compliance manager, claims supervisor, claims adjuster, and agent. Ned holds a Bachelor’s in Business & Management and a Master’s in Public Policy. Over the years he has earned multiple insurance industry professional designations, including Certified Insurance Examiner, Market Conduct Management, Associate Compliance Professional, Associate in Claims, Associate in General Insurance, and Associate Insurance Regulatory Compliance.
Originally from Texas, Ned enjoys taking in all the natural beauty (and much cooler weather) of the Pacific Northwest by hiking in the mountains, kayaking on the Sound, camping in his RV, and crabbing. He is an avid concert goer and will travel to see his favorite musicians when they are not playing near Seattle. Ned also enjoys spending time with his husband and their fur child, Dexter.

Jennifer Pedersen
Jennifer Pedersen - Standard Insurance
Jennifer started her insurance career at Standard Insurance Company in 1997 and is a Senior Compliance Analyst in the group life and disability division. Prior to her compliance role at Standard, Jennifer was a Senior Contract Analyst onboarding Standard’s largest National Accounts customers. Jennifer joined the Compliance team at Standard 6 years ago to assist in the drafting, filing, and implementation of Standard’s voluntary excepted benefit products. While Jennifer has been responsible for these excepted benefit products, she also finds time to dabble in other group products. She enjoys a challenge and uses creative solutions to problem solve.
Jennifer is a graduate of Western Washington University and a returned Peace Corps Volunteer. She spent 2 ½ years in Gabon, Africa developing freshwater fisheries in remote villages. Ask her about the toughest job she loved! In her free time she enjoys travel, bird-watching, hiking, and hanging out with friends and family.

Dawn Wellenbrink
Dawn Wellenbrink - Standard Insurance
Dawn has worked in the insurance industry for over 16 years. As a Compliance Analyst, she’s been responsible for The Standard’s Individual Annuity suitability program; conducting and drafting the department’s annual audits, as well as providing the department’s suitability and replacement trainings. She reviews and files various products, forms and advertising materials, assists with data calls and market conduct exams, as well as drafting compliance advisories. Having worked on both sides of the business, she adds a unique perspective.
Dawn is a native Oregonian and has been married to her husband Scott for the past twenty-three years. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and hunting for vintage treasures.
Dawn has been a member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP) since 2016 and was the acting Northwest Chapter Secretary from 2018 – 2021. This month she’s been elected as the chapter’s new Regional Director.

Keri Olson
Keri Olson - Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance Company
Keri Olson is the Compliance Manager at Mutual of Enumclaw. She has over 25 years of industry experience encompassing nearly all aspects of insurance from sales to underwriting to pricing to contract form and corporate policy drafting to regulatory compliance. Before returning to MoE, Keri was part of a hand-picked team that helped to establish the Office of Regulatory and Government Affairs at Safeco. This team was responsible for all forms of regulatory compliance for personal lines, commercial lines, claims, producer licensing, and consumer complaint handling up to and including coordinating Market Conduct Exams. Keri holds a license to practice law and a Property & Casualty Insurance Producer license in the state of Washington; she also holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Market Conduct Management (MCM) professional designations. In addition, she volunteers on the Board of Directors for three Homeowners Associations. Keri makes her home with her husband, Thom and her mini Australian Shepherd, Nina, near Auburn, Washington.

Member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP), has served as president, regional director and treasurer of the AICP’s western chapter, and has been a contributing writer for the AICP journal/blog. Pursuing both the chartered property casualty underwriter (CPCU) designation and certification as an associate in risk management (ARM). Longstanding relationships within the state insurance departments. Significant background in regulatory and privacy compliance, NAIC/SERFF, underwriting, and program development.
