In an unprecedented way, the world has had to figure out how to deal with the COVID-19 virus. Also known as the coronavirus, it’s contagious nature is leading to swift and severe government actions that will impact everyone.

One of the best things AICP does is hold local education days each spring. With the current situation, and its rapidly evolving nature, we are taking the time to carefully evaluate each education day that we have planned. All of them are smaller than the 250-500 attendee threshold than many governments are enforcing. And many of them are to be held in late May or into June. With the health and safety of our members in mind, we will be making the best decisions we can. As soon as we are able, we will get information out to everyone letting them know if education days have been rescheduled or cancelled.

With our mission and vision in mind, we are looking into providing virtual opportunities to get the same regulatory education you would get from attending one of our education days. While it isn’t a perfect solution, we will continue to do everything we can to support our insurance compliance community during these very interesting times.

We hope to see everyone in Washington DC in October for our annual conference. We also understand that as we learn more about the COVID-19 virus, and the situation evolves, we may be forced to reschedule or cancel the event. We hope it doesn’t come to that and will keep everyone informed as decisions are made.

Keep safe and healthy.

Bri Dahl

AICP President
